Wired a small guest house with this: fourteen rooms, a switch in the airing cupboard and a run out to a summer house at the bottom of the garden. The box lasted the lot with maybe thirty metres spare, which for the money is remarkable. What I would tell anyone buying it is to test as you go rather than at the end. Two of my early terminations were fine on a cheap continuity tester and only showed up as split pairs when a proper tester came out, and by then the trunking lids were on. That is my fault rather than the cable's, but thin conductors are less forgiving of a sloppy punch-down than the solid copper I usually buy. 18 months on and every port still comes up at a hundred meg without complaint.

Middling three stars from someone who has now pulled most of a box of it. The jacket is thin, which is lovely when you are feeding it through a bend and less lovely when it is dragged over a joist edge and you find the copper showing. I nicked two runs doing exactly that and had to redo them. It is also copper-clad aluminium rather than solid copper, whatever the listing implies, and you can feel it: the conductors work-harden and snap if you flex them more than a couple of times while you are getting them into order in the plug. Anyone who terminates a lot will know that feeling straight away. Electrically it does the job. Two years on, twelve runs around a workshop and none of them have dropped a link. But I would pay more next time for something with a tougher outer.

Bought a box of this to wire an allotment site office and a couple of outbuildings. It is Cat5, not 5e, so do not expect gigabit over the long runs, but for cameras and a phone it has been faultless

The office above our shop needed rewiring and this is what the box gets judged on: how easily it feeds. Stand it on end, pull from the middle, and it comes out without twisting itself into a figure of eight halfway across the floor. Nine runs done in the first fortnight. Every one tested clean and the switch has them all up at 100 meg, which is all this building needs given the line outside is nowhere near that quick. The jacket does mark where it rubs on steel, so I have been more careful at the bends than I usually bother being. Otherwise no complaints at all!

Ran four drops to a garden studio through existing ducting, longest about 60 metres, and every one of them holds a solid link to the switch. Ten months on with the duct half full of water after this winter and nothing has changed, which is more than I expected from something this cheap

Five stars for the cable and a grumble about the box it comes in. There is no window and no printed metre marking that I could find, so unless you count as you pull you have no real idea what is left on the reel. I got caught out by that on the last run of the day and had to leave a socket unfinished until the next box arrived. Cable itself terminated perfectly, sits flat in a keystone, and every run has come up clean on the tester.
