Yes — a card joins an order in the cart or at checkout and covers it in full or in part; the rest of the order goes to the payment card, and the gateway shows the split. The card itself is applied once — if it is worth more than the order, the unused balance is forfeited.
The whole refund, including the part paid by gift card, lands on the original payment method within 14 days.
