Cons
Fingerprints everywhere
Comment
Superb case, though the glass shows every fingerprint

Pros
Genuinely modular frame
Cons
The frame screws are tiny and easy to lose
Comment
The three chassis modes are not a marketing line, you really do slide the frame between them with a couple of screws. I run mine in the wide setting for a 360 up top and a thick card, and the side glass still shuts without pressing on anything!

Used for: Less than a month
Comment
Unpacking it takes a while because everything is wrapped, and once it is out you can see where the money went. Milled aluminium on the front, panels that swing rather than lift, and hinges that feel like a car door. I have put a full loop in it and the reservoir bracket lined up with the pre-drilled holes first time, which never happens!

Pros
Doors swing open like a cabinet
Cons
Solid front costs you some intake
Comment
Came from a Fractal Define and wanted something I could actually show off without losing the quiet.
The swinging doors are the thing you notice first and the thing you keep noticing. No thumbscrews, no putting a panel down on the carpet, just open it like a cabinet. Behind the tray there is a proper channel with velcro already fitted, so a first pass at the cables took me maybe twenty minutes.
It is not perfect. The feet are aluminium and they will scratch a wooden desk if you slide rather than lift, and the front intake is behind a solid panel so you lose a little air compared with a mesh design. Nine months on I would buy it again!
Optimized Cable Management and Ample Drive Mounting Space
With rubber grommets covering the cable pass-through holes and the presence of the 5 cable channels equipped with Velcro straps, routing cables in the ODYSSEY X is an easy job. Moreover, the Dynamic mode top cover is converted into a cable cover in Performance mode, enhancing the look of the build. There are 3 mounting spaces for 2.5” SSD or 3.5”HDD behind the motherboard tray.
Front I/O Module
The I/O port module can be relocated to another place in a different mode and can be oriented in the user’s preferred direction.
Supports up to EEB Motherboard
No matter configured in which mode, the ODYSSEY X can fit up to EEB motherboards with 8 expansion slots.
Flexible Layout for Long GPU and PSU
The ODYSSEY X can accommodate GPUs of up to 423mm in length and PSUs of up to 280mm.
In Collaboration with DER8AUER
Like the O11 Dynamic series, LIAN LI consulted with DER8AUER to review the design of the ODYSSEY X, a world-renowned German overclocking, water cooling, and gaming evangelist. Thanks to his contribution, a seal plate of DER8AUER’s approval and LIAN LI logo is included in the accessory box, users could apply it to any place in the case to show the quality and reliability.
