Under load it sits at 64C with a hotspot delta of about eight degrees, which is the best I have measured on anything. Fans are inaudible over the case fans. It does sag the moment you let go of it, so budget for a brace as well! Three months of that and the sag has not got any worse.

Replaced a 4080 that was loud enough to hear through headphones, and the difference is remarkable. Thermally it is in a different league. The core holds 62C under a sustained load with the fans at about 1000rpm, and the hotspot never runs more than nine degrees above that, which suggests the mounting pressure is properly done. Below 50C the fans stop entirely, so idle and desktop work are silent. I have not heard a hint of whine at any frame rate, unlocked menus included. The caveat is physical. It is a three-slot card, it is long, and it is heavy enough that the included support bracket is not optional. My case took it with room to spare but I have a friend whose mid tower could not, so measure from the rear bracket to the drive cage before ordering. Superb once installed.

The card itself is excellent and I have no complaint about how it performs. 4K at high refresh, 16GB that has not run short yet, and a cooler that stays under 1100rpm through anything I play. The problem was getting it in. The card is long enough that it reached the front fan mounts in my case, and then the 12V-2x6 adapter needs another 40mm of clearance above it before the cables can turn. I ended up moving the front radiator to the top and buying a native cable to get the panel on. None of that is a fault exactly, but the box does not warn you and the listing measures the card and not the cable. Four stars, and the missing one is entirely about the fitting.
