The shoulder pad will not stay where you put it

A sensible black bag that will not embarrass anyone in an office, and the main compartment swallows a 15.6in ThinkPad, a charger and a notebook without bulging. The strap is where it falls down. The pad slides along the webbing until it is nowhere near your shoulder, and with the bag full it works its way off a coat within about ten minutes of walking. I have taken to holding it. The handles themselves are fine, wrapped and stitched properly, but a bag sold for carrying to work should stay put on a shoulder without being nursed. Everything else, the zips especially, feels like it will outlast the laptop!
