One star is harsh and I know it, but at this price I expected not to have to think about any of the following. Under a long export the aluminium above the keyboard gets hot enough that I move it off my knees, and I have had 46 degrees on the underside with nothing but an export running. The fans, which everyone says never come on, come on. Not loud, but present. The bigger problem is what the money buys. There is no adapter in the box for anything, the keyboard has less travel than the machine it replaced, and the battery under real work is nowhere near what the marketing suggests, closer to five hours than the number on the page. It is a fast, well built laptop. It is not four times better than the one it replaced.

A card of 800 raw files imports before the kettle boils, where the old machine made a tea break of it. Five months of shoots on it now and the only oddity is the marks the keys leave on the screen
