Used for: Less than a month

    Pros

Looks considerably better in person than in the listing photos

    Comment

The angular spreader and the wide diffuser strip make this one of the better looking kits at the price, and it syncs straight into Aura without needing the XPG software at all. Six thousand CL30 came up on the first post on a B650E and Windows has been solid since. Only ten days in, so treat that as an early impression.

    Cons

Would not hold 6000 once the room got warm in summer

    Comment

Four stars rather than five because of a fault that only appeared when the weather did. Through autumn and winter the kit ran 6000 CL30 with EXPO and never put a foot wrong. Come a hot spell the machine started throwing WHEA errors under load, and every time it did the memory was the culprit. Dropping to 5800 and adding a touch of VDD sorted it completely and it has been stable at that ever since, including through the following summer. Case airflow is not the problem, the sticks sit in front of a 140mm intake. So it is a good kit that is running a little too close to its limit out of the box. If you have decent cooling and a cool room you will probably never see it. If your machine lives in a loft conversion like mine does, be prepared to give up a little speed.

Two 16GB single rank modules that have run at their rated speed on the same board since the day they were fitted, without one failed post or one retrain.

    Pros

Sits at 6000 without any tinkering

    Cons

Dark band at the end of the light bar

Good kit, no errors, and the Aura sync works properly for once

Used for: Less than a month

    Pros

Trained in seconds and has not asked for anything since

    Comment

First DDR5 build after years on a 3600 CL16 DDR4 machine, and the thing that struck me is how little there was to do. Slots two and four, EXPO enabled, save and exit, and Windows was up at 6000 CL30 without a single failed post! What I had read about long training times on AM5 did not really apply here. The first cold boot took about twenty seconds before the display woke and every one after has been quicker than the old DDR4 board managed. The kit clears a Deepcool AK620 with the front fan at stock height, which was the deciding factor over the taller options. Lighting syncs to the board on the ARGB header with no extra cables. Karhu has run to 3000 percent coverage clean so far and I have no reason to think it will find anything.

    Cons

The diffuser has a visible dark band at one end

    Comment

Bought as a cheaper alternative to a Trident Z5 kit and I have not regretted it once! The 6000 CL30 profile went on with EXPO and has stayed on through a CPU upgrade, two BIOS revisions and a case change. Stability has never been in question. A full MemTest86 sweep of eight passes came back clean, and the machine handles a Factorio megabase that used to bring the old 16GB setup to its knees. Memory use sits near 22GB there. Two years of ownership and not a single error in that time. My only real gripe is cosmetic. The diffuser has a dead spot at the end nearest the notch where the light does not carry, so on a solid colour you can see a dark band. Both sticks do it, so it is how they are built rather than a fault, and once the side panel is on at a normal viewing distance you stop noticing.

    Pros

Held 6000 CL30 on a board with a reputation for being fussy

    Cons

The XPG utility is unnecessary and gets in the way

    Comment

Gigabyte boards and memory profiles have not always been friends in my experience, so I expected a fight and got none. EXPO on, 6000 CL30, first post, no retrain loop. TestMem5 ran the anta777 extreme cycle without an error and temperatures on the spreaders peaked at 44C with a thermal probe taped to one. The only thing I would skip is the XPG utility, Aura already does everything it does and does it better! Seven weeks in and I have not opened it since the first evening.

  • FLFreddie L.22 June 2026

    Used for: 6–12 months

    Pros

Rated speed held from the first boot

    Cons

The lighting resets to rainbow after every Windows update

    Comment

The memory side of this is faultless, 6000 CL30 on a Z790 with a 13700K, XMP two selected, no errors in a long MemTest86 run and no instability in anything I have played. The lighting is a different story. Every feature update to Windows wipes whatever Aura had set and the sticks go back to a rainbow cycle, which means opening the software and reapplying the profile again. It is a small thing that happens often enough to be irritating, and I am fairly sure the fault lies with the lighting stack rather than with Adata, but it is the experience of owning these all the same.

    Pros

Good price for 6000 CL30 with lighting

    Cons

Adata do not put the die type on the box

    Comment

For the money this undercuts the big three and does the same job. Sits at 6000 CL30 on an Asus B650, EXPO one, and has never wobbled. Would have liked to know whether it is Hynix underneath before buying, because that decides how far it will tune. Eleven months in and I have still not got round to finding out.
