    Used for: 6–12 months

    Pros

Wi-Fi 7 and 10G on the same board

    Cons

    Enormous

    Comment

Does everything, weighs a tonne, and it has not glitched once under a 9900X3D and 96GB!

  • LOLeo O.23 July 2026

Used for: More than a year

    Pros

Dual LAN, one 10G and one 5G, no add in card needed

    Cons

The little dashboard screen is a gimmick

    Comment

Runs the household NAS and my workstation off the same box, which is why the two network ports mattered more to me than any of the RGB. The 10G port has saturated a direct link to the storage server without a single reset, and that is thirteen months in. VRM stays in the forties with a 9950X under Blender. The wee screen on the IO shroud is pointless and I turned it off, but everything underneath it is genuinely the best board I have used.

  • ONOliver N.13 July 2026

    Used for: 3–6 months

    Pros

Superb power delivery and storage capacity

    Cons

BIOS menus are still a maze and the search box is no help

    Comment

No faults with the hardware, and I would buy it again for the storage alone. Where MSI keeps losing to ASUS is the firmware. Options are scattered across three menus with names that do not describe what is under them, and turning off a single fan curve override took me an age of hunting. Once configured it stays configured, and the machine has been rock steady for five months with a 9950X and 96GB, so this is a first evening annoyance rather than a lasting one.

  • LCLeo C.3 July 2026

    Used for: 3–6 months

    Pros

Tool-free everything, from the M.2 latches to the GPU release

    Cons

Needs an E-ATX case and a patient afternoon

    Comment

Second Godlike I have owned and the jump in build quality between generations is obvious the moment you unbox it. Nothing needs a screwdriver any more. M.2 covers pop off with a latch, the drives themselves clip in, and the graphics card releases with a button by the DIMM slots, which matters when a four slot card is buried under a shroud. Memory training took a while on the first cold boot with 96GB, and has been instant since. It is a big lump of a board and my old mid tower would not take it, so factor a case into the budget if you are coming from ATX.

  • ESElla S.1 July 2026

    Used for: 3–6 months

    Pros

Rear IO covers every port I could think of

    Comment

Everything you could want on the back panel, including two USB4 ports that actually drive displays. Four stars only because the price gap to the Carbon is hard to justify unless you need the second network port.

  • TKTheo K.29 June 2026

    Used for: 1–3 months

    Pros

Memory ran at 6400 straight away

    Cons

Chipset heatsink gets warm under sustained NVMe writes

    Comment

Took a 6400 kit with no manual tuning at all, which no board I have owned has managed before!

Flagship board, flagship behaviour. Posted first time and has not been touched since

  • IRIvy R.17 June 2026

Used for: Less than a month

    Pros

The debug display told me exactly what was wrong straight away

    Cons

Manual assumes you already know where everything goes

    Comment

Build did not post on the first attempt and the two digit code sent me straight to the CPU power connector, where I had seated only one of the two eight pins. Five minutes rather than a whole evening of pulling parts out. Since then it has run a 9950X3D at full tilt with 64GB at 6000 without a hiccup. The paper manual, though, is close to useless.

  • NMNoah M.5 June 2026

Used for: Less than a month

    Pros

The Xpander card adds four more drives without robbing lanes

    Comment

Built a scratch array out of the bundled expansion card and it slotted straight into the top PCIe slot without any BIOS gymnastics. Eight NVMe drives in total on one board is faintly ridiculous and exactly what I needed for video ingest. Build went together in an evening with no snags at all! Only a fortnight of ingest through it so far, but nothing has stuttered yet.

  • PSPoppy S.4 June 2026

Used for: Less than a month

    Pros

Layout is thought through, from the front panel block to the fan headers

    Cons

Wi-Fi aerial takes up half the desk behind the machine

    Comment

Coming from a mid range B650, the difference in how a board like this goes together is the surprise. The front panel pins are a single block you fit in one go, the fan headers are spread along the edges instead of bunched at the bottom, and every header is labelled on the PCB where you can read it with the case upright. Eight headers means my radiator, three intakes and two exhausts all have their own. Ten days into living with it and I have not needed a splitter once. The aerial is the one silly bit. It is the size of a small lamp and there is nowhere sensible to put it.
