Three of these went into a four bay NAS and two are fine. The third has a low frequency hum that carries through the floor of the study, not a click or a grind, just a note you cannot unhear once you have noticed it. Speeds are what you would expect from a 5400 spinner, around 180MB/s on a big sequential copy, and the array rebuilt without drama.

Bought as the bulk tier under a pair of SSDs and it has done exactly that job for the better part of a year. Warm to the touch after a long backup but never alarming, and the idle noise disappears behind the case fans!
