Bought it for a trip to the Highlands rather than lug the gimbal and body I already own, and I ended up filming far more than I would have. The mechanical stabiliser is the whole argument. Walking down a track it produces something you can watch without feeling seasick, and it does that without cropping the frame to nothing. Face tracking keeps the kids centred while they run about, which is the only reason my other half will use it. Battery goes about an afternoon of intermittent clips. Charging from a power bank in the car covers it, though.

Second one of these in the house now, the first went to my daughter for her university course and she films everything on it. Mine has been dropped onto gravel, carried loose in a rucksack with keys and taken through airport security more times than I can count, and the gimbal still centres itself perfectly when it wakes up. A year and a half on, the battery is noticeably shorter than it was, which I suppose is the deal with anything this small.

Filming a wedding as the unofficial second camera, this thing was the hero. Nobody clams up in front of it the way they do with a big body on a shoulder, so the footage is people being themselves rather than performing. Handed it to a nine year old at the reception and the stabiliser saved every second of it. Two months in and the only thing I have bought since is a longer cable!

Nine months of using this as the only camera I take anywhere, and the honest summary is that it has replaced my phone for video and nothing else. What it does brilliantly: walking shots, handing it round at a party, filming from a car window without the whole frame juddering. The tracking holds a face across a room and only loses it when someone walks in front. Where it falls down for me is sound. The internal mics pick up the gimbal motors faintly in a quiet room, and outdoors any breeze is a write-off without the little foam cover, which is not in this combo. I ended up buying a mic and at that point the standard bundle stops looking like the cheap option.
