This is the third Cooler Master case in this house and the one I would point people at. What makes it different from the cheaper ones is that the airflow is designed rather than claimed. The intake path is angled so the air crosses the card and the VRM before it exits, instead of going straight up the front panel and out the roof. You can feel the difference with a hand at the back. Seven months in, the practical stuff is what I appreciate. Filters that come out from the front and the side, so I clean them without moving the tower. A top bracket that lifts out with the fans still attached. Standoffs already fitted for ATX. A GPU support bracket in the accessory box rather than sold separately. It is expensive and enormous and I would buy it again without thinking about it!

    Pros

    Stock fans that last

    Comment

Still on the original five fans after two years and not one of them has developed a rattle. Whatever bearings Cooler Master used in these, they were the right ones!

Cooling headroom for a machine that never stops

    Comment

Housing a render box that runs most nights, so cooling headroom mattered more than looks. It has held up. Two years of near-continuous load and the CPU package has never gone above 78 with a 360 in the roof, and there is room for a 480 if I ever need it. The chassis is thick steel and takes the weight of a heavy air cooler without the tray flexing. Four stars only because the front IO placement suits a floor-standing machine, not a desk one.

    Pros

Takes anything you put in it

    Comment

Bought secondhand parts and needed a case that would take whatever I threw at it, which this does. E-ATX board, a full length card with a support bracket already in the box, four drives, and there is still an empty compartment under the shroud. It is heavy and it is not subtle, but nothing inside it has ever run hot!

    Pros

    Huge front fans, almost silent

    Comment

Two 200mm fans in the front move a frightening amount of air at a speed you cannot hear. The titanium grey looks far better in the flesh than in photos, more gunmetal than silver.

    Comment

A few practical notes from putting a full loop into one of these, since the listing does not cover them. The 480 mount in the roof is real but it needs the top bracket removed first, and the bracket is held by six screws you can only reach with the rear fan out. Half an hour, not five minutes. Drive positions are generous but they share space with the front radiator, so pick one. I kept two 3.5 inch bays and lost the front 360. The underside filter slides out sideways, which is worth knowing if you are planning to put the tower hard against a cabinet. None of that is a complaint, it is just the kind of thing you want to know before the parts are on the desk.

    Pros

    Front vents pull hard

    Cons

    Glass is very dark

    Comment

The diagonal front vents look like a styling exercise until you put your hand near them and feel how much they pull. Airflow is the whole design brief here and it shows. Only thing I would change is the glass, which is very dark and hides a build I quite like looking at.

Used for: More than a year

    Pros

Interior comes apart and goes back differently

    Cons

The front vent slats collect dust

    Comment

Bought this when the old chassis could not take a 360 without cutting metal, and it has been in service ever since. The part I did not expect to value is the modular interior. The drive cages, the shroud panels and the top bracket all come out, so when I changed cooling last spring the case adapted instead of forcing a rebuild. The 480 mount is genuinely usable, not a spec sheet claim. The downside after a year and a half is dust in the diagonal front vents. The filter catches the big stuff but the vent slats themselves collect a grey fur that needs a brush, and there are a lot of slats. Ten minutes every couple of months, but it is ten minutes.

    Pros

Wire the PSU before the board goes in

    Cons

You need the floor space and a friend

    Comment

Moved a machine out of a cramped micro-ATX box into this and it feels like moving house into somewhere with a garage. Everything about assembling in it is easier. The tray is drilled for every standoff pattern, the cutouts are where the connectors are, and there is a removable panel under the PSU shroud so you can drop the power supply in and wire it before the board goes anywhere near. The routing space behind the tray is deep enough that I never had to force the rear panel, which after years of shoving cables flat was a novelty. Airflow is the headline and it lives up to it. Two 200mm intakes and a 120 at the rear held my card ten degrees under what the old case managed with five fans. Only caveats are size and weight, both of which are obvious from the listing if you actually read the dimensions.

  • ABAlfie B.9 June 2026

    Used for: 1–3 months

    Pros

Cooling and build are not in question

    Cons

Front IO is unreachable beside a desk

    Comment

Three stars, and I want to be specific about why, because the case is not badly made. It is enormous, which I knew, and heavy, which I did not fully appreciate until it arrived. Empty it is more than most people can comfortably lift alone, and once a board, a card and a loop are in it you are moving it on a trolley or not at all. That is a design consequence, not a fault. The fault is the front IO. It sits on the top face at the back edge, so if the tower is beside a desk rather than under it, you are reaching over the top for every USB stick. On a case this tall that means standing up. Cooling is exactly as advertised, the fans are quiet, the steel is thick, the filters are good. If you have the floor space and the front IO does not bother you, add two stars to this review.
