Used for: 1–3 months
Weight is the sweet spot for me. Not so light it feels hollow, not so heavy it drags, and the shape has no aggressive curves so it works whichever way you hold it.

Side buttons swap to the other side of the shell
The blanking plate comes off if you are rough with it
Left handed and this is one of about three mice that can move its buttons to the other side
Used for: Less than a month
Actually usable in either hand
A shade heavier than the mice it competes with
Ambidextrous done properly for once, not just symmetrical!
Used for: 1–3 months
Buttons swap sides, so two people can share it
Two things sold this over the obvious alternatives. The first is that the side buttons can go on either side, so my partner and I can share a desk without arguing. The second is that it does not have holes in it. In use it is quick and quiet and the sensor has not once stuttered, including on a bare wooden desk when the mat was in the wash. The clicks are on the firm side, which I prefer, and the wheel has proper notches you can feel!
Used for: 6–12 months
Weeks of battery with the lighting off
iCUE for anything beyond the basics
Half a year of use now, mostly work with a couple of evenings of games a week, and it has been completely unremarkable in the best sense. Nothing has broken, nothing has needed adjusting. The battery is the standout figure: with the lighting off it runs for weeks, and the low warning gives you plenty of notice rather than dying mid-sentence. Bluetooth for the laptop and the dongle for the desktop, switched with a button underneath.
