Bought this to replace a lightweight mouse that my hand never got on with, and the lesson I took from it is that weight matters far less than shape. At a bit over a hundred grams it is not light, but for the tracking games I play the extra mass actually helps: small movements are steadier and the mouse does not skitter when the hand shakes. Anyone playing something that needs constant wide flicks would probably think differently. The rest of it has simply worked. The dock keeps it charged without a thought, the sensor has never once lost the surface, and the eleven buttons are the reason I have not looked at anything else. Two years and the only wear is a shiny patch on the left side where the thumb goes.

Three of these in the house now, which is either loyalty or a lack of imagination. The reason is boring: they last. The first one is over three years old, still on the original switches, and the only thing that has ever failed is a set of skates. The dock is the other half of it, because a mouse that charges itself never gets left flat on a Friday night. Synapse is the usual bloated nonsense, mind, but you can set it up once and leave it.

The dock has been the quiet winner. Drop it on when you go to bed, pick it up in the morning, and in over a year the battery has never once run out mid-game.

Big hand, palm grip, and this is one of the few remaining mice that does not assume everyone wants a featherweight. It fills the palm properly and the thumb rest takes the weight off the little finger. The paddle by the thumb is set to push to talk and it has changed how I play, because the key I used to reach for is now under the thumb already. Eight months in and the only thing I have adjusted is the wheel tension, which is a dial underneath!

Two years of daily use, most of it work rather than games, and it has not developed a single fault. No double clicks, no wheel skipping, no drift on the sensor. The shape is the reason it lasted. Everything falls under a finger without stretching, and the rubber sides have not gone tacky the way older Razer mice always did.

Came from a cheap office mouse and the difference in the click is what struck me first. It is a light, short, definite press rather than the mushy thing I was used to, and the side buttons have the same feel. The dock was an afterthought when ordering and is now the part I would miss most!
