Very stiff off the reel until it relaxes

Stiff as a broom handle when it comes off the reel, so give it an hour flat on the lawn in the sun before you try to tuck it behind skirting. Once it settled it has been faultless: the shed switch shows a solid gigabit and nothing has dropped since March, through rain and a proper frost.
