Has been the graphics card in a machine used every single day and it has been completely dependable, no crashes and no driver rollbacks. Where it falls short is the 8GB. On a 1440p panel there are several games where the average frame rate looks fine at 75 or so but the frame times spike whenever the buffer is full, and the fix is always textures rather than anything else. The GPU underneath has plenty left in it, which makes the compromise more irritating than it would be on a slower chip. Coming up on two years of daily use and that has only become more obvious. Four stars for a card that does its job well and was specified badly.

The card itself is very good. WINDFORCE keeps it at 58C under load with fans that stop entirely below 50C, and there is no whine at any frame rate. At 1080p it is quick enough that I have not thought about settings. The thing to know before buying is that the Ti comes in two memory sizes and this is the smaller one. If the 16GB is within reach, spend the difference, because the chip deserves it. Six months in and that is still the only thing I would change.
