Print quality is not in question. Text is crisp and the colour work we send out to clients beats anything the old laser managed. The trouble is the A3 tray: load it past halfway and it picks two sheets at once, and on heavy stock it does that more often than it does not. If the machine has stood idle overnight it also insists on a head clean before it will give you the first page, which is a minute of standing there listening to it think.

We were getting through a set of laser toners a quarter, and the sums on this one were done on the back of an envelope before it was ordered. In the ten weeks since, the tanks have gone down by about a finger's width between them, which is roughly nothing. Duplex is quick enough that nobody has quietly started printing single sided again out of impatience.
