Pulled the factory switches for a set of silent linears within a week of it arriving, because the office is open plan and the originals were not subtle. The sockets took them without complaint and nobody has looked over at me since!

Three stars, reluctantly. The E key started registering twice about two months in. The sockets are hot-swap so a spare switch went in and cured it, which is the argument for hot-swap in the first place, but a board at this price should not need that inside a term. Everything else has been good. The dial is genuinely useful, the case does not flex, and the sound is properly damped rather than hollow.

Bought this when the desk was rearranged for a smaller monitor and the full size board no longer fitted. Going to 75% cost me the numpad and nothing else worth mentioning: the function row is still physical, the arrows are still there, and everything else sits where the fingers expect. Over a year of daily use and the only change is that the caps have picked up the faintest sheen on WASD. No chatter, no dead keys, no rattle that has developed. It has simply worked.

Hardware excellent, setup process decidedly not. Out of the box the board types perfectly on default settings, so you could stop there. The moment you want to remap the dial or change the lighting you are into Synapse, which downloads modules, asks for an account, and then asked me to restart before it would show the dial options at all. The board itself is a lovely thing. Dense, dead flat on the desk, no flex in the case, and a sound that has clearly been engineered rather than left to chance. A fortnight is too early to say anything about durability, obviously. Four stars for now with the software carrying the blame, and I would happily revise that upwards.

Mapped the dial to brush size in Photoshop and scrubbing in Premiere, and it has quietly become the reason this board stays on the desk. The arrows are the price: they are jammed under a shortened right shift and I still hit up when I mean shift most days.

The legends are as sharp as the day it arrived, with no gloss on the movement keys, and that is eight months of it being hammered every evening. The weight that keeps it planted also makes it a two-handed job to shift, which is a fair trade.

The reason I chose this over the tenkeyless version is the dial, and it earns its place: a twist for volume, a press to mute, and a modifier turns it into a scrubber. It does sit right where my hand travels though, so I mute myself by accident!
