The idea is excellent and the execution of the software is not. Every key can have its own actuation depth, which sounds wonderful until you sit down to actually set sixty of them in a grid interface that requires a click per key and gives you no way to paint a region. I gave up and used the presets, which rather wastes the point of the thing. Three stars is for the gap between what the hardware can do and what the app makes practical. The typing itself is lovely and the case is solid, so if the presets suit you this is a five star board.

Small enough to live in a rucksack alongside the laptop, which was not something I could do with the full size version. Three weeks of carrying it back and forth and the case has not picked up a mark!

Shares a room with a partner who works from home, and that was the constraint every board had to meet. This one meets it. The travel is short, the switches are linear, and the noise that does come out is a low tap rather than the clack of a blue switch. Complaints have dropped to zero. Four rather than five because the wrist rest is fabric-topped and already showing where my hands sit, and because getting the actuation set the way I wanted took an evening of clicking through a grid of keys one at a time. Neither is a reason not to buy it, but both are reasons to know what you are getting.
