Nobody buys a laptop for the speakers but these are genuinely good enough that I have stopped reaching for a bluetooth one in hotel rooms. Everything else is as expected, quiet, quick, long battery!

The thing that keeps striking me is how little heat this makes. Long compiles, video calls, a couple of containers running, and the underside stays cool enough to keep on my knees. The other side of that is connectivity, three ports total means a dock on the desk, and mine cost more than I wanted it to! Two months in and that dock is the only extra I have needed.

This has been the most reliable computer I have had, and it is a little over a year old now. Nothing has slowed down, nothing rattles, the hinge is as firm as it was and the battery still gets me through a working day with a bit left over. It has been to three countries in a rucksack without a mark on it. The one concession is at my desk, where 14 inches is not enough for the way I lay things out, so it drives a monitor at home. On the move it is exactly right.

Coming from an ageing Windows machine the difference in how this behaves day to day is enormous. Lid up and it is ready. The only thing I have had to buy is a longer cable!
