The name says 2500 and the label says 2050, which caused me ten minutes of confusion before I worked out the model number is the peak figure and not the continuous one. Once past that it has been excellent. Two 12V-2x6 leads, both native, and a 4090 plus a 7950X barely gets it warm. Five months in and it has never been more than lukewarm.

Two kilowatts was more than I needed but the price against a 1600W unit was close enough that I took the headroom. A 5090 and a 9800X3D peak at 780W by the socket meter, so the fan simply never comes on. Cables are individually sleeved, which is not a given at this level!

Sits under a 5080 and a 285K in a Fractal case, and the wall socket reads 520W with both under load. That leaves roughly a kilowatt and a half spare, which is ridiculous, but it means the fan is a decoration. Only real note is that it needs a deep case.

Works, but it is not the silent unit the marketing suggests. The fan threshold is set low and my machine crosses it during ordinary gaming, at which point there is a constant airflow noise from the bottom of the case that was not there before. There is also a click every time the machine comes out of sleep, which I assume is a relay. Harmless, but you hear it in a quiet room. Voltages have been rock solid throughout.

Replaced a 1000W unit that had started to sag under a new card, and the difference was obvious on the first boot. The old supply used to make the lights dim for a fraction of a second when a game loaded. That is gone entirely. Whatever the transient behaviour of a 5090 is, this unit does not appear to notice it, and I have watched the socket meter jump from 200W to 900W in the space of a second without anything on screen flickering. Noise is the other headline. The fan is off below about 40% load, which on a 2050W unit means off basically always, and when it did spin up during a burn in test it was a low rush rather than a whine. No coil noise at any frame rate I have tried. Only gripe is physical. It is a long unit and the sleeved cables are thick, so the back of my case took some persuading to close. Three weeks of use so far and nothing has changed for the worse.

Build is finished and the supply gave me no trouble at all. Fully modular means only six leads went into the case, and the sockets are keyed so you cannot put a SATA lead where a PCIe one belongs. Marked down a star only because the supplied 12V-2x6 cable is barely long enough to reach a card in a full tower, and the spare is the same length

This has powered three different graphics cards without me thinking about it once, which is the highest praise a power supply can get. It went in with a 3080, took a 4090 without a murmur, and now runs a 5090 off a single native 12V-2x6 lead rather than the adapter I had been using. Each swap was a five minute job because the unit is fully modular and the sockets are labelled in words rather than symbols. The electrical behaviour is the part worth paying for. Nothing on the 12V rail moves under load, the machine has never blue screened from a spike, and the fan has only made itself known twice, both times during a summer heatwave with the room over 30 degrees. If I had to fault it, the unit is deep and the 24 pin lead is stiff. Neither has cost me anything.

Bought on the strength of the Cybenetics report rather than the 80 Plus sticker, and the numbers held up. My plug meter reads about 6% above what the software claims the machine is drawing, right where a PLATINUM unit should sit at half load. Eight months on, the same reading. It also has more PCIe leads than I will ever use. Six, plus two 12V-2x6!
