In a machine that does a bit of everything there are no complaints about speed at all, it never feels slow. Five months in, where it loses a star is heat versus noise. The 105W rating undersells what it actually asks of a cooler, and my 240 AIO ramps audibly in anything sustained. Dropping it to eco mode fixed the noise, which rather suggests the stock behaviour is chasing the last few percent.

Two summers on this now and it has been a completely undramatic part of the machine, which is what I want. The thing everyone warns you about is the temperature. Yes, it will sit at 95 under load. That is by design, it boosts until it hits the limit and then stops, and nothing bad happens. Once I understood that I stopped worrying. If it bothers you, set a 65W eco mode and you lose maybe five percent while dropping twenty degrees. Otherwise it has just worked. Memory at 6000, no failed posts, handles a game and a browser full of tabs without noticing. For an eight core part at this price I cannot think of much to complain about. It has been in this machine for two years now and has not once made me look at it again.

Bought it as the sensible middle of the AM5 range and it has been exactly that. Fast enough for everything I do, and it left me enough budget for a better graphics card, which mattered more in the end.
