Replaced a pair of desktop scanners and a lot of standing about. It arrived, went on the network, found the folder on the NAS and has been fed everything the office can find since. The only thing worth grumbling about is the hopper, which takes a full ream but fans it badly if you drop the stack in rather than laying it.

This is a sheet-fed machine and nothing else, which is worth saying because the photographs make it look like it has a lid. If your originals are bound, glued or fragile, this is the wrong purchase and no amount of speed will fix that. For loose paper it is superb. We run a print bureau and the job is proofs coming back from clients covered in red pen, A3 and A4 mixed in the same stack. It takes them in any order, straightens them, crops each one to its own size and names the file from a barcode sticker. The long-paper mode goes to something absurd, well past a metre, which we use for panoramic proofs. Colour is a shade cool out of the box and a profile sorts it. Three months of that and it has jammed twice, both times my fault.
