  • LMLeo M.24 August 2026

Used for: Less than a month

    Pros

    The feeder side is excellent

    Cons

The flatbed lid does not close square

    Comment

Scans beautifully and arrived with a flatbed lid that does not sit square, so anything laid on the glass comes out with a grey band down one edge unless you press the lid shut yourself.

    Pros

OCR good enough to index on a postcode

    Comment

A charity's Gift Aid declarations used to live in a stack of lever-arch files under a table. They now live in a searchable folder, and the whole job took a volunteer a few Saturdays. The OCR found the postcodes well enough to index on them.

Used for: Less than a month

    Cons

The flatbed glass is only A4

    Comment

Set up on a Monday, and by Friday a filing cabinet that had followed the practice through two office moves was a folder on the server. Twelve hundred sheets an hour, near enough, once you stop trying to help it. My one warning is the flatbed glass. It is A4, not A3, and if your business has any large originals at all you want the bigger machine, because folding a plan and scanning it twice is not a workflow.

  • OLOscar L.31 July 2026

    Used for: 3–6 months

    Pros

The claimed page rate is the actual page rate

    Cons

The fan runs whenever the machine is awake

    Comment

Sixty pages a minute is not marketing, it is what a real stack does!

  • RORosie O.30 July 2026

    Used for: 6–12 months

    Pros

Hardware that grips and never breaks the run

    Cons

The bundled capture app will start a batch on top of an unsaved one

    Comment

Eight months of a conveyancing department's paper and the honest verdict is that it is a very good machine with a mediocre bit of software bolted to it. The hardware side is not in question. The feeder grips, the double-feed sensor is right nearly every time, and the flatbed underneath means the awkward item does not break the run. Duplex is one pass and the second side is as clean as the first. The capture application is where the stars go. It is slow to open, the folder picker forgets where you were, and it will happily start a new batch on top of an unsaved one. We drive it from a third-party tool now and everything is fine.

  • IMIsla M.18 July 2026

    Used for: 6–12 months

    Pros

Never the thing anyone is waiting for

    Cons

The warm-up beep is loud first thing in the morning

    Comment

A small practice with a couple of fee earners and one shared machine, and it has never been the thing anybody is waiting for. Somebody scans a lease, somebody else walks up with a bundle, and the queue never builds. It sits on a normal desk, which surprised me for something that eats paper at this rate!

  • WNWillow N.5 July 2026

    Used for: 1–3 months

    Pros

Deskew and blank removal are on by default and correct

    Cons

The bundled capture software looks a decade old

    Comment

Straightens, crops and drops blanks without being asked. The scans just look right!

  • DRDaisy R.30 June 2026

Used for: More than a year

    Comment

An accountant clearing a year of client receipts is the job this was bought for, and it does about a shoebox an hour once the staples are out. Till receipts are the test: thermal paper, curled, some of them faded to nothing. It picks them without doubling, and Perfect Page pushes the contrast until the total is legible. A year on it has needed one set of consumables and a wipe of the glass strip when a vertical line appeared down every scan. That strip is worth knowing about, because it looks like a fault and it is a smear.

    Used for: 1–3 months

    Comment

Bought to clear a haulage firm's delivery notes, which is about the hardest paper there is: carbon copies, oil on the corners, some of them signed on a bonnet in the rain. It reads them. Not all of them, but far more than the last machine did, and the ones it cannot read it flags rather than filing quietly in the wrong place. Two months in the backlog is down to one shelf.

  • MCMaya C.24 June 2026

Used for: More than a year

    Pros

Feeder and flatbed side by side, so nothing gets carried

    Cons

Heavy enough that it goes where you put it and stays there

    Comment

The flatbed under the feeder is the reason we chose this over the cheaper sheet-fed Kodak, and it has earned its place. Conveyancing files arrive with a Land Registry plan folded into quarters and a photocopy of a passport stapled to a letter; the feeder does the letter, the lid does the plan, nothing leaves the desk. Perfect Page does a lot of quiet work. Faded fax copies come out readable, and the colour dropout on the pink carbon sheets is the difference between an archive you can search and one you cannot. It is a heavy old lump.
