Straight swap for a failing older adapter, no relearning
Nothing in the box explains the button behaviour
Swapped in for an older Jabra adapter that had started cutting out mid-call, and it took about as long as unplugging one thing and plugging in another. The headset paired to it without being asked and every button does what it did before. What is not explained anywhere in the box is what those buttons do when you have two calls at once, which in this job happens constantly. I found out by experiment: a short press takes the second call and holds the first. Would have been nice to have that on a card rather than in a forum!

One adapter covers the softphone and the old deskphone
The lead is short for a deep desk
We have a floor of people who still have a physical deskphone in front of them and also take calls in Teams, and until this arrived that meant either two headsets or unplugging one thing to use the other. This sits between the two and the headset follows whichever is ringing. Audio is a step up on what the softphone managed on its own. Callers stopped asking people to repeat themselves, which in a contact centre is not a small thing. The only physical complaint is lead length. On a deep desk with the PC on the floor the adapter has to sit up on the desk rather than tucked behind it, and then it is one more thing among the pens. Eight months in, 40 of them out on the floor, and not one failure.

Moulding is fatter than the port spacing on small PCs
Four stars, and everything I would dock it for is physical rather than electrical. The moulding on the USB-C end is fat, and on the small form factor PCs we use the two USB-C sockets are 8mm apart, so plugging this in blocks the one beside it completely. Our webcams are USB-C. You can see the problem. We worked round it with a short extension lead per desk, which is another cable, another thing to go missing, and rather undermines buying a tidy adapter in the first place. On everything else it is very good indeed. The headset connects instantly, the call control works in all three softphones we have tried, and the audio is clean at both ends. Five months of heavy use across a team of twelve and not one has needed anything doing to it. Just measure your port spacing before ordering a box of them.

Feels light and hollow next to the older metal ones
It does the job well and the audio is excellent, but hold it beside the older adapter it replaced and it feels light and hollow in the hand. Nothing has gone wrong in four months of shift work; it simply does not feel like a sixty-five pound object.

Yet another box on an already crowded desk
Answers and hangs up straight from the headset. At last!

Jabra Direct has to be installed before it behaves
Works perfectly once it is set up, but this is not quite the driver-free experience the box implies. Windows found it instantly for audio; the mute and answer buttons on the headset did nothing at all until Jabra Direct was installed and had pulled down a firmware update. Ten minutes of work, and on a locked-down work laptop it meant a ticket to IT. Worth knowing before you hand 50 of them out.

Two years on a busy desk without a dropout
Two years of eight-hour shifts on it and the call control still simply works
