Wanted something my daughter could see the RGB through without it looking like a fairground, and the tinted glass does that nicely. Build went smoothly, the PSU shroud has a cutout in exactly the right place for a cable comb, and the top filter comes off with one hand!

Coming up on a year and a half and the ten stock fans are all still spinning, which given what stock fans usually are is worth saying. Nothing has developed a tick or a whine. The paint on the top filter frame has worn where I lift it, purely cosmetic but you notice it every time you clean.

The front panel display is the reason most people buy this and it is genuinely useful once you set it to show CPU and GPU temperature rather than an animation. Ten fans are already in and hubbed, so the first boot is quiet without any tuning at all. Storage is the compromise: with the front radiator fitted there is room for two 2.5 inch drives and that is your lot. Ten months in, no regrets, but plan your drives.

Two stars, and it pains me because on paper this is exactly the case I wanted. The problem is the front. The display module and its mounting plate sit directly in front of the intake fans, so the air has to come through a slot along the bottom edge and around the sides. My CPU idles four degrees warmer here than in the plain mesh box it replaced, and under a long session the difference grows rather than settles. Taking the module off helps but then you are staring at a blank plate. Second gripe is the software. The display needs the MSI utility running to show anything useful, and that utility has decided twice now that my board is not compatible until I reinstall it. Build quality is fine. Everything else about it is a case, and a nice one. It is just the headline feature that gets in the way.
