The mouse itself has been completely faultless

Three stars, and most of it is about the software rather than the mouse. Glorious Core has to be installed to change anything, it sits in the tray forever, and it has twice forgotten the DPI stages after a Windows update. The mouse keeps them on board until the app decides otherwise, which is maddening. The hardware is worth five. Six months of daily use, no double clicks, no drift, and the shape still suits my hand better than anything else at this money.

Tracking is perfect on a proper mat and slightly less so on the bare desk, which is my fault rather than the mouse's. Side buttons are the part I would change: they are long and set high, so with a claw grip the front one is easy and the back one takes a stretch.
