Skates wear out inside a year

Long use report, since the signature editions get bought on impulse and reviewed the same day. The shell is still perfect, no creaking and no wear on the coating, which surprised me on a white mouse. The clicks have softened very slightly on the left, not enough to misfire, just less crisp than they were. Sensor is unchanged. The skates are the consumable. The stock ones lasted about eight months before the glide went scratchy, and the spare set in the box lasted about the same, so budget for that. Battery has held up better than I expected: still a week of daily use, only a little down on where it started. Four stars because a mouse at this money should ship with better feet.

The shape is a shrunk down version of the standard one and that is the whole appeal: smaller, flatter, and it sits under a claw grip without any of the hump you get on bigger mice. Anyone with hands over about nineteen centimetres will find it cramped though. Clicks are light and quick, the wheel is fine, and the whole thing weighs less than the phone next to it.

Third lightweight mouse in this house and the one that finally suits my hand, which is small and does not get on with the big symmetrical shells everyone recommends. The measurements are the reason to buy it. It is shorter and lower than almost anything else at this level, so the back of the shell fills the palm instead of pushing it up, and the side buttons are close enough to reach with the thumb already resting where it wants to be. Everything else is what you would expect at the money: the sensor is flawless on any mat, the clicks are quick and consistent, the wheel has clear steps, and it charges from flat in under two hours. The bundle even includes spare skates and grip tape, which more expensive mice somehow do not!
