Three separate bits of dongle to lose

No argument about the mouse, it is superb, so this is a warning about the parts around it. The dongle is a USB-C one with an adapter and a little extender in the box, which is three things to lose instead of one, and mine has already been left at a friend's house once. The scroll wheel is also the weakest part: light, vague steps and a bit rattly if you shake it. For a mouse at this price I expected a wheel that felt like something.

Bought after a fortnight of reading arguments about weight and I should have done it a year ago. Fifty odd grams means the hand stops bracing, and a whole evening of play leaves no ache in the forearm at all. The sensor is beyond anything I can test. It tracks on a scratched old cloth mat, on a desk, and on a magazine I put under it out of curiosity. Battery went from full to eighty per cent after the first week of use, so the claims look about right.

The shape is the safest in gaming and that is meant as praise. Straight sides, low hump, nothing sculpted to fight your hand, so it works with a claw or a fingertip grip and does not care which. Mine came with grip tape in the box and the shell is slippery enough that you will want it, particularly in summer.

Came off a Basilisk that weighed about twice as much and the first week was genuinely strange, like the mouse was going to slide off the mat on its own. That passed, and what is left is an accuracy I did not have before. The things that matter after a few months are duller than the weight. The battery goes about three weeks of evenings and charges over USB-C. The switches are optical, so no double clicking has crept in, which killed two mice for me previously. The skates are big and smooth and still going. What you give up is any lighting at all, a scroll wheel with much character, and the thumb buttons being anywhere near as nice as the Basilisk ones. Fair trade for the weight, but know what you are buying.
