Used for: Less than a month
Cable work inside is spotless
The front filter is fiddly to refit
First thing I did was take the side panel off, because the last prebuilt I bought had a bird's nest behind the tray and a fan cable wrapped round a blade. This one is combed, tied and labelled. Every run goes where it should and nothing touches a fan. The rest of it hardly needs saying. It is quick, it is quiet, and it looks superb lit up!

Set it up on Sunday and have barely left the desk since!
Used for: 3–6 months
Handles the sim rig and a recording at once
Runs the flight sim across three screens with a capture going and does not so much as hesitate, which the old machine could not manage on one screen. Four months in and nothing has changed
Used for: 3–6 months
No operating system in the box caught me out, my own fault for skimming the listing, so the first evening was a licence hunt rather than a game. Once past that it has been faultless. Quick, cool, and put together far better than the last prebuilt I owned.
Used for: 1–3 months
Frame rates well past what my monitor can show
Memory shipped at the default speed rather than its rated one
Worth going into the firmware on the first evening. Mine came with the memory sitting at 4800 rather than the speed printed on the sticks, which on this processor leaves performance on the table for the sake of one setting. Two clicks and it was right. Everything else arrived exactly as it should, so I am not sure why that one gets missed.
Used for: 1–3 months
Effortless at everything I have asked of it
Would like a second USB-C on the front
No fuss, no noise, no settings to lower. Exactly what I paid for
Used for: More than a year
Still ahead of anything my friends are running
The 32GB is the first thing I would change
Gaming has never troubled it and it never will, but I do a fair bit of video alongside and the memory is the part that stings. With a project open and a browser full of references the machine starts leaning on the page file, and on a build this expensive that should not happen. 18 months on it is the only upgrade I have actually needed, and the empty slots at least make it painless.
Used for: 3–6 months
The power supply is barely adequate for the card fitted
Four stars because everything I bought it for works, and one off for a decision I do not understand. The card in this machine will pull serious power in a transient spike, and the 850W unit the builder specified sits close enough to the ceiling that the machine has dropped out twice under a heavy load with a render going in the background. It has not done it since I capped the card slightly, but capping a card on a machine of this specification defeats the object. Everything else is right. The cooling is more than adequate, the case is a lovely thing, and the cabling behind the tray is textbook work.
Used for: 6–12 months
Quick, quiet and beautifully put together
Bring your own Windows licence
Every bit as good as the reviews said, and quieter than expected!
Used for: 6–12 months
Loads anything before I have finished sitting down
The case is too big for the shelf I had planned
Measure the space before you order, because it is a substantial thing and it did not fit where I intended. Seven months in, that remains my only complaint, and it is entirely my own fault
