It sits under a desk in a two-person studio and the noise at idle is genuinely a non-issue, which for a machine with this many fans in it was the thing I was most worried about. Under a long render it is audible but even, and even is what you can work next to. The drive bays are the other quiet pleasure: four of them, all reachable, no tools.
