Hotspot has not gone past 71C in anything I have thrown at it, and the core sits in the low sixties, which for a dual-fan card of this size is very good. Fans do not spin at all until the load starts. Docked a star for the VRAM, since 8GB means turning textures down in things the chip could otherwise manage. Four months in and that is still the only real gripe.

For a compact build it is close to ideal. Not a hint of coil whine even at 300fps in menus, which surprised me at this price. Just be honest with yourself about 8GB before buying!

Two slots and one 8-pin was the whole reason for choosing it, because the case is a small mATX tower with a 550W unit in it and nothing bigger was going to fit. At 1080p it is comfortably quicker than anything I have run before, sitting around 110fps in Warzone on high. Push to 1440p and the 8GB starts to argue back, with texture settings that the GPU itself could clearly handle. Fans stay completely off below about 55C so the machine is silent for browsing. Two weeks of daily use and it has not put a foot wrong. Four stars because GDDR7 on a 128-bit bus really deserved 12GB.

Curve editor at 875mV holds the same clocks as stock and pulls about 20W less at the wall. The card then never gets hot enough to bring the fans up in a normal session. GDDR7 helps it punch above what the 128-bit bus suggests it should manage. Over a year of running it that way and the clocks have never wandered.

No complaints about the card itself, it is cool and quiet and the app has never crashed on me. But the frame buffer is the limit at 1440p, not the chip! Eight months in and that has not changed.

Bought for a lounge machine that mostly plays esports titles and it has never been the bottleneck. Valorant and CS sit above the refresh rate of the telly, and the card idles at 34C with the fans stopped, which matters when the box is a metre from the sofa. No coil whine that I can hear over anything. Drivers have installed cleanly every time. The 8GB will date it eventually but for 1080p it has been exactly right. A year and a half of that now and it still has not been the weak link.
