Built this for my daughter in a white ITX case and the AERO was the only card that matched without paying AORUS money. At 1080p it does everything she asks. Fortnite at high settings runs at the monitor cap of 165 without the fans ever getting loud, and Hogwarts Legacy holds 70 odd with DLSS on quality. The two fans stay stopped on the desktop, so the machine is silent for homework, and under load the card sits around 66 degrees with a hotspot delta of about 10. The 8GB is the thing I would think hard about. At 1080p it has not been a limit yet, but I have watched the VRAM counter sit at 7.3GB with textures on ultra. For 1440p I would have spent the extra on the 16GB version. Single 8-pin, no adapter, and it barely made the PSU notice.

For 1080p this is a lot of card for the money and the GDDR7 keeps it feeling quicker than the numbers suggest. Where it runs out is memory. Indiana Jones with path tracing hits the 8GB wall and starts stuttering no matter what the GPU load says, and dropping textures to medium fixes it but that is not what I wanted at this price. Everything else is excellent.

Came out of the box in a white ITX build and the first thing I checked was clearance, since the case only takes 245mm. No trouble at all. It draws little enough that the old 550W unit stayed in, and the single 8-pin came straight off the existing cable. Idle is completely silent, and a couple of hours of Helldivers left it at 68 degrees with the case shut!

Bought as a stopgap and it has turned into the card I stopped thinking about. 1080p is trivial for it, and with DLSS it will do 1440p in most things if you are not precious about ultra textures. Two real gripes. The first is that the driver has twice reset my custom fan curve after an update, which on a card this quiet is very noticeable. The second is the 8GB, which is fine now and will not be in two years. Neither is enough to knock it below four stars for what it cost.

Fan noise is the standout. Zero RPM up to about 55 degrees means it is inaudible for anything that is not a game, and even loaded it is a soft rush rather than a whine. Marked down only because the 128-bit bus shows at 1440p.

Fans have not developed so much as a tick in the two summers it has been in this case. Still doing 1080p ultra in everything the kids play, still silent when idle. The 8GB will date it eventually but not yet.
