Replaced a set of ageing double-muff headsets on a theatre comms ring where the stage manager wears one for 4 hours at a stretch. The difference is weight: these sit on the ear rather than clamping around it, and nobody has asked for a break because of them. Mic discrimination is the real win. A cue called from the wings while a band is playing arrives clean at the other end, which the old sets could not manage. Cable is the weak spot and always will be on a comms headset, so we bought spares from the outset. Eight months in, none have failed.

Ordered two of these for a small events company after borrowing a set on a job and being unable to forget them. The noise cancelling on the microphone is the thing: standing 3 metres from a PA stack, the person on the other end hears only the voice. Comfort is the second surprise. On-ear usually means sore ears by the end of a day, and these spread the pressure over a wider pad. Both operators asked what they were within an hour of putting them on!

Bought privately rather than through work, which is an expensive way to do it, and worth every penny for the clarity on a busy ring. The one grumble is that the cable exits straight down and catches on a belt pack clip.
