Turned up well packed with nothing rattling, and the first thing to say is that there is no operating system, which is in the listing but easy to skim past. Once my licence was in, the whole thing took under 40 minutes: every device recognised, both screens live at the first try, and the network card found the domain without a driver hunt. Marked down one only because the front ports are on the top face, which is where a mug goes on a busy desk.

Bought for a bookkeeping practice where the four of us need the same machine to behave the same way, and it does. Boots in about 15 seconds, holds a dozen tabs and two spreadsheets without a thought, and it is quiet enough to sit on a desk in a room where people are on the phone!

The 128GB is why this one was chosen over a cheaper tower, and it has already justified itself. I run a couple of virtual machines alongside the usual browser and mail, and there has not been one moment where anything has had to be shut down to make room. The processor is not the newest but it has never once been the thing I am waiting for. Six weeks in, two criticisms. The single 1TB drive is not enough once images and backups are on it, and the internal layout is built around the assumption that somebody in a van will be opening it, so the drive caddies are tool free and everything else needs the manual. For what it does every day, four stars is generous rather than grudging.
