It renders everything we throw at it and the memory means whole scenes load without proxies. Three stars because for a machine of this class the chassis is astonishingly awkward to work in once the front fan wall is populated.

Performance is not in question — it chews through datasets that made the old machine swap to disk and give up, and the memory capacity is the whole reason we specified it. What has cost it two stars is the driver situation with our main application. The certified release we are tied to is two versions behind what ships on the card, and getting the pair of them to agree took a fortnight of evenings and a lot of reading. Once settled it has been rock solid, but nobody warns you that a certified workstation still needs certifying by you.
