RGB is the most even I have owned
The software is a chore and wants to run at startup
Bought it mostly on the strength of the lighting and it has not disappointed there. Every key is lit the same brightness, the legends are clear from a normal sitting position rather than only when you look down at them, and the underglow is not so bright that it washes out the desk. iTAKE is the tax you pay. It insists on launching with Windows, it sits in the tray doing nothing visible, and the per-key lighting editor is genuinely awkward to drive with a mouse. Set your profiles once, save them to the onboard memory, and then you can kill the whole thing and the board carries on regardless.
Used for: 3–6 months
Space bar rattle that no amount of fiddling has cured
Everything about this board is solid except the one key you hit most. The space bar has a metallic rattle on the return stroke that you cannot unhear once you have noticed it, and the shift on the right does a quieter version of the same thing. The letters are fine, the modifiers are fine, it is purely the stabilised keys. I pulled the caps and had a look. The stabilisers are the clip-in sort with a smear of factory grease that seems to have gone nowhere near the wire itself. A dab of dielectric grease on each end helped a good deal, but I should not be doing that on a board at this price. Everything else earns four stars easily. The top plate is proper aluminium, the RGB is even across the board with no dark corners, and five months on there is not a shiny cap anywhere.

Cherry switches, so spares are easy to find
Nine months of daily hammering and every key still registers first time. The caps are starting to shine on the WASD block, but that is what caps do

Types beautifully and the magnetic wrist rest is the bit I did not know I wanted!
Used for: Less than a month
Came from a rubber dome that had been on the desk since university, so almost anything would have felt like an upgrade. What surprised me is the wrist rest: it is magnetic, it is soft, and it does not slide off when you shove the board back to make room for a plate. The Cherry browns are louder than the marketing photographs suggest, mind.

The aluminium top plate keeps it dead still
Full size means it hogs the desk
Weighs enough that it has not moved once, even when I catch it with an elbow mid-game!
Used for: Less than a month
Build quality is not the problem
The software would not see the board for the best part of a week
The software refused to detect it until I uninstalled and reinstalled twice, which is not a great start
Used for: Less than a month
The cable is thick and does not want to bend
Braided cable is stiff enough that it lifts the back of the board off the desk unless you route it carefully. Everything else has been a pleasure!
