  • HPHarry P.1 September 2026

    Used for: 6–12 months

    Cons

Lighting is dimmer than the fans it sits beside

    Comment

Never a single error, never a failed post, and it cost very little

  • OBOliver B.31 August 2026

    Used for: 1–3 months

    Pros

Everything about the module itself is good

    Cons

Adding a second one dropped the pair to 5600

    Comment

Bought one, liked it, bought another, and that is where the four stars come from. On its own the module ran 6000 CL36 with EXPO on a B650 Tomahawk without a single hesitation. Adding an identical second module, same part number, same shop, and the board would only train the pair at 5600. I tried both slot pairs, a CMOS clear, a firmware update and manually setting the SOC voltage, and 5600 is where it lands every time. It is stable there, and honestly the difference in games is small enough that I have stopped caring, but it is not what either box says. If you know you want 32GB, buy the 32GB kit in one box and save yourself the afternoon!

    Pros

    Cheap, quick, lit

    Cons

    Wish I had bought two

No fuss at 6000, no errors, no regrets

  • FWFreya W.12 August 2026

    Used for: 6–12 months

    Pros

It did run at the rated 6000 to begin with

    Cons

Throws errors now and is only stable at 4800

    Comment

Started well and has gone downhill. For the first stretch it ran the rated 6000 with EXPO on a B650 and I had no reason to think about it at all. That was the first six months or so. Then the random reboots started. Not under load particularly, just at idle or during a game, and always with a memory related bug check. HCI MemTest now finds errors within about twenty minutes at 6000, at 5600 it takes longer, and only at 4800 does it come back clean. Nothing else in the machine has changed, temperatures are unremarkable and the module never goes above 48C. So I have a 6000 kit running at 4800 and no confidence in it. Two stars because it does still work, just not at the speed on the box.

  • ICIvy C.10 August 2026

Used for: More than a year

    Pros

Held its speed through three BIOS updates

    Cons

16GB is a starting point, not an endpoint

    Comment

Fitted to a budget gaming machine for my son and it has done everything asked of it at 6000, no retraining after firmware updates and no errors in any test. He wants more capacity now that the games have grown, which says more about the games than about this module. Fourteen months in that machine and it has never missed a beat.

  • EHElla H.7 August 2026

    Used for: 1–3 months

    Cons

16GB with lighting costs more than 32GB without

    Comment

Bought a single 16GB module with the intention of adding a second later, and it has been faultless on a B650M at 6000 CL36 with EXPO. Single channel until the pair arrives, which is a real performance hit in games, so do not do what I did unless the budget genuinely forces it. The lighting is bright and syncs on the ARGB header. Worth noting a plain non lit 32GB kit is not much dearer. Six weeks in and the second module is still on my list.

  • GDGeorge D.31 July 2026

    Used for: 6–12 months

    Pros

Sits comfortably under a 120mm tower cooler

    Cons

    You will outgrow 16GB

    Comment

The spreader is short enough that an Arctic Freezer 36 clears it with the fan at stock height, which was the whole reason I picked Beast. Stable at 6000 with no manual settings, and no errors in a full memtest sweep!

Bright, quick, and the BIOS did the rest

  • CWCharlie W.1 July 2026

    Used for: 1–3 months

    Pros

Runs the rated speed and the RGB is properly bright

    Cons

The lighting cannot be turned off without the board software

    Comment

Good module let down slightly by how the lighting is handled. At 6000 with EXPO it has been completely stable on a Gigabyte B650, TestMem5 clean, and Windows sees the full 16GB with no drama. The problem is that there is no way to switch the lighting off in the BIOS on my board, and without Kingston's software running it defaults to a rainbow cycle that I did not ask for. Installing FURY CTRL fixes it but then I have another background application I do not want, and if I close it the rainbow comes straight back. For a machine that sits in a bedroom this genuinely matters. Everything else about the module is good, and if your board can control ARGB devices properly you will never run into this.

  • SGSophie G.18 June 2026

Used for: Less than a month

    Pros

Lit up and ran at 6000 straight out of the box

    Cons

Diffuser is narrower than the Corsair equivalent

    Comment

For a first DDR5 build this could not have been easier, slot it in, enable EXPO, done. The light strip is a little narrow compared to my fans but the colour match is good and it syncs on the header.

  • FSFreddie S.17 June 2026

Used for: Less than a month

    Cons

Single module, so no dual channel benefit yet

    Comment

Posted at 6000 immediately on an ASRock board and the RGB picked up the board profile on its own
