  • MMMillie M.28 August 2026

Used for: More than a year

    Pros

Rock solid at rated speed, and 64GB has aged well

    Comment

Bought for a workstation that runs Photoshop, Lightroom and a local database at the same time, and the capacity has been the whole story. Nothing swaps, nothing stalls, and the machine has stayed up through some very long export jobs. A star off for two things. The RGB is controlled entirely through the board, so if your motherboard software is poor you are stuck with it, and mine is poor. And the sticks are noticeably taller than the DDR4 they replaced, which meant shuffling the top fan on my cooler before the side panel would go back on.

  • INIvy N.26 August 2026

    Used for: 6–12 months

    Pros

Handles a 40GB Blender scene without touching the pagefile

    Cons

Lighting is board controlled only, no Lexar app worth having

    Comment

Rendering interiors in Blender used to mean watching the pagefile thrash. With 64GB the whole scene sits in memory and the render starts immediately. Speed held at 6000 on an X670E once EXPO II was selected rather than EXPO I. Ten months of that and not one crash.

  • TOTheo O.3 August 2026

    Used for: 6–12 months

    Pros

Trained once and never needed to again

    Cons

    Fins collect dust quickly

    Comment

OCCT ran overnight on the memory test and came back clean. The first cold boot sat on a black screen for about forty seconds while it trained, which is normal for 64GB on AM5, and boots have been quick since. The THOR spreader gets warm under that load but nowhere near hot.

  • MRMaya R.28 July 2026

Used for: More than a year

    Pros

Survived a house move and a full rebuild

    Comment

Moved from an Intel platform to AM5 and the sticks came with me, taking the new board's EXPO profile as readily as the old XMP one. Nothing has degraded, nothing has needed retraining beyond the first post on the new board. Sixteen months in, across two platforms, and nothing has slipped.

  • OPOscar P.20 July 2026

    Used for: 6–12 months

    Pros

Quiet, cool and cheaper than the Corsair equivalent

    Cons

Cannot switch the lighting off from Windows

    Comment

No errors at all in Karhu, and the price against a Vengeance kit sold it

  • AGArthur G.3 July 2026

Used for: More than a year

    Pros

64GB at 6000 for less than the big names charge

    Cons

    Taller than the photos suggest

    Comment

Two 32GB sticks, dual rank, and the board swallowed the profile without complaint

  • LDLouie D.29 June 2026

    Used for: 6–12 months

    Pros

Fits under an NH-D15 with the front fan raised a notch

    Comment

Anyone pairing this with a Noctua needs to know the spreader is tall. The front fan has to come up about eight millimetres, which costs nothing in temperature but does mean the fan pokes above the top of the heatsink. Worth it for how the kit looks!

  • FWFlorence W.19 June 2026

    Used for: 3–6 months

    Cons

The 6000 profile needed the SOC voltage nudged on my board

    Comment

Ran at 4800 out of the box until I found EXPO buried under the overclocking tab

  • WNWillow N.10 June 2026

    Used for: 3–6 months

    Pros

Dual rank 2x32 and it still does 6000

    Cons

Only two lighting effects worth using

    Comment

Went into an MSI Tomahawk for a Proxmox box and eight VMs sit in it comfortably, four months on

  • RHRosie H.8 June 2026

    Used for: 6–12 months

    Pros

Two big sticks instead of four, so the board stays happy

    Cons

Black spreader is a fingerprint magnet

    Comment

Editing 4K multicam in Resolve was the reason for the upgrade and it has done exactly what I hoped, timelines scrub without the cache stuttering and I can leave Chrome open with thirty tabs while it renders. Two dual rank sticks trained cleanly on a B650 Aorus, held 6000 CL32, and the machine has not thrown a single memory related crash! That is seven months of daily editing now.
