The internal fan is audible when the room is quiet
Best picture I have had on a desk, and the only thing I would change is that it has a fan in it at all. Late at night with everything else off there is a soft whirr from the back panel that carries over my case fans. Sixteen months in and there is nothing on a grey slide, no dimming in the corners, no ghost of anything, which I had half expected to be reporting by now.
Used for: 3–6 months
Setting it up properly took an evening of reading forums
The panel is outstanding and I have no criticism of the picture whatsoever, so the four stars are entirely about getting there. Out of the box it sits in a mode that oversaturates everything, the HDR toggle in the menu and the one in Windows fight each other, and the uniform brightness setting that makes desktop work bearable is buried under a submenu with a name that gives no clue what it does. Getting a sensible SDR profile, a sensible HDR profile and sane taskbar behaviour cost me a whole evening and a lot of reading. Once it is set, it stays set, and I have not opened a menu since. But a screen at this money should not need that much homework, and my father would have given up halfway through. The picture, when you finally get there, is the best I have ever looked at. Motion is spotless, blacks are absolute, and 4K across 32 inches is exactly the density I wanted!

The heatsink means highlights hold their brightness
Coating is nearer glossy than matte and throws the room back at you
Highlights hold their brightness on this one where my last OLED would visibly ease off after a few seconds of a bright scene, which I put down to the heatsink they make so much noise about in the marketing. The coating is closer to glossy than matte, so with a window behind the desk you get a clear reflection of the room rather than a soft haze. Blinds sorted it out. Worth planning the desk position around.
