Bought this to sit under a 5070 Ti and a 9800X3D, and the sizing logic was simple: the pair draw about 420W together in the worst game I own, so a thousand watts leaves more than double the headroom for whatever the next card wants. In use it has done exactly nothing interesting. The fan is off unless I am benchmarking. There is no coil whine at any frame rate, capped or otherwise, which was the thing I was most worried about after the unit this replaced. The one thing I would tell a buyer is that the Aura lighting is a thin strip on one side and you will only see it in a case with a shroud cutout. Mine has one, which was luck rather than planning. Eight weeks in and I would buy it again.

Replaced a nine year old 650W unit that had started clicking on shutdown, and the improvement is not just the wattage. The machine draws 40W less at the wall doing the same work, because the old supply was well past its efficient years. A thousand watts with an 80 Plus GOLD sticker is the sensible middle of the market and this is a good example of it. Quiet, tidy cables, no fuss.
