Evening gaming and weekend photo editing is the mix here. Lightroom exports are quicker than the six core it replaced, but honestly the reason to buy this is games, where it is comfortably the best thing you can put in an AM5 socket.

The machine runs eight hour stretches and has not thrown a single crash or odd reboot. Memory at 6000 with EXPO enabled from the first boot, which was not my experience with the previous generation at all. The integrated Radeon deserves a mention nobody gives it. When my graphics card went off to a friend the machine still drove two monitors and played older games fine. Not fast, but it meant no downtime. Coming up on five months and that is still the thing I tell people about.

I have finally stopped checking the frame counter, which is the highest compliment I can pay a processor. Two months of that now. Context: I came from a 10700K that was holding my graphics card back badly in anything with a lot going on. Now the card is pegged and the CPU sits at forty percent while it happens. In the racing sims I mostly play, the lows have gone from dipping into the fifties on a full grid to sitting well above ninety. Worth knowing before you order. There is no cooler in the box and the chip likes a good one, a cheap tower will work but it will be loud. Also check your board is on a recent BIOS or it may not post at all first time.
