Bought as a cheap upgrade for a laptop and it is quieter, cooler and quicker than the drive that came out. No complaints for the money at all!

Works, but I would not buy another for the job I bought this one for. As a boot drive it is completely fine and I would have given it four or five stars on that basis. The problem is that I use it as a working disk for large files, and this drive does not like that. Anything over about forty gigabytes in a single copy and the speed drops from over 3GB/s to under 300MB/s and stays there until the transfer finishes. Four months of working around that has worn thin. My fault for not reading the specifications properly, but the listing makes a lot of the peak figure and nothing of the sustained one.
