    Used for: 6–12 months

    Comment

Ten months of steady service with one caveat I would want to know about before buying. If you use the DisplayPort and both HDMI at once, the two USB-A ports on the side drop to something close to USB 2 speeds. Fine for a keyboard and mouse, hopeless for a memory stick. Run two screens instead of three and everything is quick again. It is a sensible trade at the price, just not one the box mentions.

    Used for: 1–3 months

    Pros

Genuinely three screens on a Windows laptop

    Cons

A MacBook still only gets one mirrored display

    Comment

Works exactly as advertised on the Windows machine, and not at all as most buyers expect on a Mac. That is Apple's limitation rather than the hub's, but the listing does not say it and I nearly bought it for the wrong laptop. On the ThinkPad it is excellent: two 4K panels and the old 1080p one on the side, all independent, all steady. Six weeks in with no drop-outs and no need to touch the display settings after a sleep.

Used for: Less than a month

    Pros

Ports on three sides so cables do not fight each other

    Cons

The gloss top scratches if you slide it about

    Comment

Somebody has actually thought about where the cables go. Video on the back, fast ports on one side, card slots on the other, so nothing crosses over and the desk stays tidy. Small thing, but every hub I have owned before had all thirteen holes in one row!

    Comment

Worth writing this for anyone comparing it against the cheaper ten-in-ones, because the difference is not the port count. The cheap ones give you a second screen and call it done. This gives you two independent 4K panels at a rate you can actually work at, plus a DisplayPort for a third, and it keeps the data ports quick while all that is going on. Copying from a card reader does not make the mouse stutter, which was the daily annoyance on the last one. It is bigger and it wants its own power. Both are fair trades for a desk that finally behaves like a proper workstation!

Used for: Less than a month

    Pros

Two 4K screens at 60Hz off a laptop that only has one port

    Comment

The old hub gave me a second screen at 30Hz and moving a window across it felt like wading. This one runs both panels at 60 and the difference is immediate: pointer moves cleanly, video plays without judder, no tearing when you drag between them. Everything else on it is a bonus, but that was what I was buying!

  • AGArthur G.19 July 2026

Used for: More than a year

    Pros

Has driven the same three screens every working day without fuss

    Cons

The plastic shell gets hot and has warped slightly at one end

    Comment

Bought this when the desk grew a third monitor and the laptop had run out of outputs. It has done that job every working day since, three screens up within a second of the lid opening, network, mouse, keyboard and a drive all hanging off the same lead. The reason it is four and not five is the shell. Under three displays it runs hot, and a year in, the plastic at the end nearest the video ports has bowed just enough that the unit rocks on the desk. It still works perfectly, nothing has ever dropped, but a metal case at this price would have been the right call and the newer models seem to agree.

    Used for: 6–12 months

    Pros

Charging passthrough keeps up with a hungry laptop

    Cons

The card reader is one slot, not the two shown in the photo

    Comment

Runs a big Dell with three screens and still puts enough back into the battery that it gains charge over a working day, which the previous hub could not manage. My one grumble is the photography on the listing, which appears to show both an SD and a microSD slot. There is one, and it takes full-size cards.

    Used for: 1–3 months

    Pros

    Turns a one-port laptop into a proper three-screen desk

    Cons

The host cable is short and cannot be swapped

    Comment

A colleague had one and I copied him, which is the highest praise I can give a hub. Two large panels and a portrait one for code, all off a MacBook-sized machine with a single port, and every one of them comes back correctly after a night asleep. Eight weeks in the only thing I would change is the lead. It is fixed and about a hand's length, so the hub has to sit right next to the laptop rather than hidden behind the screens.

  • GRGrace R.25 June 2026

    Used for: 1–3 months

    Pros

Two HDMI and a DisplayPort that all work together

    Cons

Needs the mains adapter before the third screen appears

    Comment

Three outputs on a hub at this money seemed too good, and it is not: all three light up. You do have to plug the power in, which nobody mentions in the listing
