The reason this beat the cheaper options was that the framing and the blur happen in the camera, so my laptop is not grinding through it while I share a spreadsheet. Fan noise on the machine has dropped noticeably on long calls. The AI framing is subtle rather than swooping, which matters when the audience is customers. Low light in a north-facing box room in February is where it earns the money, because the old one turned everything into grain and everyone into ghosts. Ten months in, no drivers ever installed, and it comes up by name in Teams, Zoom and Meet.
