Bought a pair for a wedding video kit where the ceremony mic has to be invisible and the pack lives inside a jacket. The adapter adds a centimetre or so behind the capsule, and that is a centimetre you notice when hiding it under a lapel. On a slim groom it is a real fiddle. Audio is faultless once it is on. Four stars for the bulk, five for everything else, and it has been in the bag on every job since!

Knurled collar you can nip up in a freezing church without taking gloves off, which sounds trivial until you are doing six of them before a carol service. Does feel a bit light in the hand for what it costs.

Works, and works well, but it is worth saying out loud that you need one of these per capsule rather than one per pack. We worked that out after ordering three for a six-mic setup. Once the order was right the whole rack became interchangeable and the get-in got about 20 minutes shorter.

Inherited a box of MicroLite lavaliers with a conference system and had no way of getting them onto the packs we actually own, which is exactly what this is for. Screw the capsule in, clip the pack on, and the channel comes up at the same level on the desk as the wired ones. Sound is clean and I cannot hear any hiss added on a quiet room mic. The nuisance is purely physical: the moulding is wider than the pack socket, so two packs in one pouch on a presenter belt end up fighting for room. Not a problem for a single speaker, quite a problem for a panel of four on radio mics and comms. Worth knowing before you order six!

Replaced a home-made adaptor lead that a previous engineer had heat-shrunk together, which crackled every time the wearer turned their head. This is a proper moulded part with no dangling tail and it fitted first time. The packaging tells you nothing though.

The old soldered adaptors we used crackled if a presenter turned sharply, and that has simply stopped happening. Nine months of weekly lectures and meetings without a single dropout on any of the four channels. Quietly the best thing we bought that year
