The reason to buy the 61W rather than a cheaper 30W is that it keeps up with the laptop while you are actually using it. On the smaller charger the battery percentage crept downwards during a long Teams call; on this one it climbs. Barely warm, no coil whine whatsoever. The white shell does pick up marks in a bag, which is a very Apple sort of flaw.

Straight replacement for the one that lives permanently behind the sofa, and it does exactly the job the one in the box does. Folding pins, so it sits flush against a skirting board socket instead of sticking out where a foot can catch it. Took a flat 13 inch Pro to about 80 per cent in an hour while I carried on working on it!
