Fifty four grams and it does not creak when you squeeze it, which is the trick most lightweight mice miss. The sides are grippy enough without tape, and the shape suits a medium hand in a claw grip perfectly. Not much of a shape for a palm grip, though.

The dongle lives in a little slot under the mouse, which sounds trivial until you have lost one, and it is the reason this went in the bag for a work trip rather than the wired one. On the mat it is quick and precise, the clicks are crisp, and the side buttons sit right where the thumb rests. Four months and the only thing I have changed is the DPI!

Switch sockets are the reason this got picked over the competition. The clicks are swappable without soldering, so when the left one eventually goes soft there is a fix that costs pennies rather than a new mouse. Eight months of daily use and I have not needed to, for the record. Everything else is what you would expect: the sensor is faultless, the polling is higher than anyone can perceive, and the battery does about a week of long evenings. Four stars because Armoury Crate remains the worst software on this machine.

Very good mouse with one thing worth knowing before you buy. The good: light, quick, no flex, excellent sensor and a shape that suits a claw grip without any tape. The clicks have a short travel and reset immediately. The thing: the wheel. It is quiet, which is nice, but the steps are soft and there is a little side to side play in it, so counting a precise number of notches in a game where that matters is a lottery. Everything else about the mouse is at the level the price suggests.

Came off a mouse nearly twice the weight and the wrist strain I had put down to age turned out to be the mouse. Three months of long sessions since and nothing aches. The shape is on the small side, which suits me, and there is a slight flare at the back that stops the hand sliding off. Glide is excellent on the stock skates and the sensor has not once lost the surface, even on the terrible mat I use at work!
