The dock eats a corner of the desk

Enormous, expensive and I rather love it. The shell is metal where it matters, the thumb buttons have a proper mechanical action, and the switches sit in sockets so they can be swapped when they wear out, which no other mouse at this money offers. Four stars because the dock takes up as much desk as a small speaker and the cable comes out of the back of it, so it has to live behind everything. Worth planning the desk around before it arrives.

Far too heavy for anything but an MMO

The charging dock is the thing that makes it: the mouse drops onto it magnetically at the end of the night and is full by morning, so in four months the battery has never once been a consideration. It is a heavy mouse, no getting around that, and for a shooter it would be hopeless. For an MMO where the hand mostly sits still and the thumb does the work, the weight keeps it planted. Twelve buttons and I have found a use for eleven of them.
