This has been the easiest upgrade I have made. Three hundred and sixty millimetres of radiator means the fans never have to work hard, so the machine is quieter than before.

Put this on a 14900K and the numbers speak for themselves. Under a sustained all core load it holds in the low eighties where the 240 it replaced was hitting the thermal limit within a couple of minutes. The 360 radiator went into the top of my case with about a centimetre to spare over the memory, so measure before you order. Fitting was straightforward, the AM5 and LGA1700 hardware are both in the box and clearly separated. Lighting synced from the board header with nothing extra to install, which is how it should be. Ten days in and it has been completely undramatic.

With a 9950X underneath it the cooler has never once been the limiting factor. What I like most is the fan curve behaviour. Because there is so much radiator area, the fans can sit at a low speed for ordinary work and the machine is effectively silent, then lift smoothly when a long compile starts rather than jumping about every few seconds the way my old cooler did. The ARGB is nicely done, a ring on the pump head and rings on the fans, all following the board. Five months on, the pump is as quiet as the day it went in.

First AIO I have ever fitted, and it went better than I feared. The instructions are picture only but clear enough, and the standoffs for LGA1700 screw on by hand. Getting the radiator into the roof with the fans attached needed a second pair of hands, mostly because the whole assembly is heavy and awkward rather than difficult. Temperatures dropped by around twenty five degrees under load compared with the air cooler it replaced.

Audible pump hum and a noisy fan bearing

I am not getting on with this at all. The pump is audible from a metre away as a constant low hum, which no amount of fiddling with the header settings has changed, and one of the three fans has a bearing noise at low RPM that comes and goes. Temperatures are fine, that is not the issue, but I bought a closed loop cooler to make the machine quieter and it has done the opposite.
