A single memory stick where I assumed there would be two
Pulled the panel off before I had even plugged it in, and the memory is a single 64GB module in a four slot board. It works, it is the advertised capacity, and dual channel would have cost the builder nothing extra to arrange, so it reads as a corner cut on a machine that cuts none elsewhere. Everything I have loaded since runs beautifully, mind. The cooler is a proper tower rather than the flimsy thing I feared, and the whole case sits dead still on a wooden floor.

Opened the side panel out of habit on the first evening, expecting to find the usual bird's nest, and instead every cable was sleeved, combed and tucked behind the tray. Nothing flapping into a fan, nothing pulling on a header. That level of care is not something you can see in the photographs and it is the reason I would buy from the same builder again. The glass is the only thing I keep wiping. Worth it for how the lighting reads across the desk at night!

Nothing in my library troubles it
Four stars rather than five, and the missing one is entirely down to what came preinstalled. A trial antivirus that would not stop nagging, two separate tuning utilities that both wanted to sit in the tray, and a launcher I have never heard of. Half an hour with the uninstaller and the machine is spotless, but at this money I expected a clean image. Everything else has been faultless. Heavy use since it arrived, nothing above 70 degrees on the processor under a full render, and the fan curve out of the box is sane rather than the usual panic. Storage is generous enough that I have stopped uninstalling things.

Moved over from a console and the thing that has surprised me most is not the graphics, it is the load times. Fast travel is instant. Menus do not exist. Whole worlds appear while the old machine would still be showing a tip screen. The other half of it is being able to sit at the same desk and work. Two monitors, a stack of browser tabs, a video export in the background, and none of it makes the fans so much as lift. Best money I have spent on a desk in years!

Handles everything at ultrawide without touching a slider
The glass front picks up fingerprints something rotten
Came off a wheezing old machine that could not hold sixty in anything made this decade, so the jump was always going to flatter it. What surprised me was the quiet. Two months in and I have never once heard the fans over the game audio

Boots to the desktop before the monitor has woken up
First proper gaming machine after years on a console and I am not going back. Everything looks like the trailers did!

The glass panel rattles faintly at certain fan speeds
Five stars because the machine itself is beyond reproach, with one gripe I would want a buyer to know about. Somewhere between idle and full tilt there is a narrow band where the tempered side panel picks up a buzz from the front intake. Loosening the thumbscrews a quarter turn cured it entirely, so it is a five second job, but nobody should have to work that out for themselves. Eight months in and it has not come back.

Still ahead of anything I have thrown at it
Only two of the drive bays are actually reachable
Bought as a working machine that had to game as well, and it has done both without complaint. Renders that used to be a tea break now finish before the kettle does. A year on, the only thing I would change is the drive cage, which is riveted in so awkwardly that adding a second SATA disk meant taking the whole front off.

Silent unless you are genuinely hammering it
Sits under the desk and I forget it is there until the lights come on!

Chews through 4K without dropping into the sixties
The thing I keep coming back to is how little it seems to care what I ask of it. Ultra settings at 4K, ray tracing on, and the frame counter sits where a lesser build would be sweating. Since it landed I have not seen it thermal throttle once, even with the flat cooling profile it shipped with, though I would still flatten it further given the chance. Cable routing behind the tray was tidy enough that I left it exactly as the builder had it.
